Fragrant Hills

This is from an area of some hills in Beijing that another Chinese friend took me to last weekend. It was nice because it was a 2 hour bus ride from my area, but there was a great view of Beijing from the edge of the city and the buildings were very historic also, being a regular get away spot of General Mao and many others.

China begins

So after my third year ended in South Korea I decided to try China next. I will be teaching English here also, but to adults now… I’ll be living in Beijing, the capital and I visited here last May. I really want to learn the Mandarin language, but I wasn’t successful in learning Korean after 3 years, so we’ll see. I was using facebook regularly, so most of my pics from the last 2 years are there, however the Chinese government doesn’t allow facebook use, so I’ll be posting on my wordpress blog site. Feel free to leave me comments…

So I arrived again in Korea on August 25, 2008 for my second year of teaching English here. I’m working at a public elementary school this year, and I’m the only foreign teacher at my school. It’s a little lonely, but I should get a lot more vacation this year, so that’s great. My newest pictures are from two trips with my Korean friend Jae. Some are also from Seoul. I live in the city this year, not the suburbs, so that’s better too. I’ve put captions on all of my pics, so I’m not gonna explain them here, but if questions come up I will answerI
